The "more normal" Helios-44M-5 has a regular aperture ring and has the best "clicks". Helios-44-2, with the preset aperture, has more dampened and less defined "clicks". The actual ring to open / close the aperture is very light in action and feels good in use. Preset lenses can seem weird in the beginning.
